How To Play Lightning Roulette
Anyone betting straight-ups only faces a slightly higher effective house edge than on a standard single-zero table. That reduction applies on every spin, whether a multiplier is present or not, and it is the single most important thing to understand before playing. Multipliers range from 50x to 500x, and a weighted distribution makes the larger values far rarer than the smaller ones, so 50x and 100x dominate while 500x is genuinely uncommon. Once the betting window closes and before the wheel is spun, the game’s RNG picks one to five numbers and assigns each a random multiplier. Lightning Roulette launched in 2018 at the ICE gaming conference in London and quickly became Evolution’s most played live title, winning the EGR Game of the Year award along the way. Before each spin the game selects between one and five numbers and assigns each a multiplier of 50x to 500x.
